Swans on a Saturday swim in the river in Newbury.
Clean clothes! This is pretty much everything we had with us with the exception of what we were wearing at the time.
Canal-side at the Dundas Arms pub.
Small locks like this one are operated by the boaters themselves.
Looking back to our lunch spot.
Peter (and sheep) at the start of the Avebury stone circle. The small pillars on the right mark the spots where stones once stood.
One of the taller stones.
Perhaps the biggest one we saw.
More interesting trees and roots.
A deep ditch runs along the outer circumference of the circle.
All of the stones varied in size and shape.
There is no way to photograph the whole circle. This shot is hardly a tenth of the whole thing.
One of the white horses.
Silbury Hill--the largest human-made object in prehistoric Europe. No one knows what it is or why it was made. For those who know it, Silbury might remind you of a 5000 year old Mt. Oberlin.
One last proper English cream tea for Adina.
Working off the clotted cream by chasing Glen and his (Frank's) sock around the yard.
Glen won.
A lovely dinner in the garden.
