Energized and looking forward to sunny day.

The sheep were out in force as usual.
This is another view of the many fences up by the Inn (which is on the very left of this photo).
The bog where the little lamb was stuck.
And the Adina that rescued it (surprisingly clean given the effort involved)!
Some old walls high up on the hill.
Another summit!
Burnmoor Tarn from the top of Illgill. For a sense of scale, look for the two story cabin near the water at about 2 o'clock.
Adina making her way through the grass and peat.
The cabin from the other side of the tarn (Illgill rises up to the left).
Ah, the peat. The footing on this terrain was suprisingly tricky.
Heading down to Boot, or is it Hobbiton?
Entering the hamlet of Boot...
Ready for lunch!
Boot had more potted flowers than people.
The patio of the pub where we had lunch.
Lunch, but only after Adina thoroughly washed the three-hour-old remnants of the lamb rescue off her arms.
Here's the (slightly blurry) inside of the pub. We were only drinking pints of coke and water, so the blurriness is just because it was dimly lit.
More sticky toffee pudding (with cream AND custard, thank you).
A quintessential Boot cottage.
Watch out for Stanley.
We thought about a swim on our way back past the tarn, but we were ready to finish the 12 miles of hiking sooner rather than later.
A look back at the tarn.
The campsite comes into view!
Adina passing through the ferns, which were abundant and had a distinct, pleasant smell.
Adina heads for the gate.
More campers had arrived to enjoy the lovely weather.
Packing up camp the next morning before heading to Keswick.
