All packed up for our first camping trip in Norway.
Riding the T-bane up the hill.
The view of the city and fjord from Frognerseteren--the end of the line.
The actual stop.
It took Adina all of 15 minutes to become obsessed with berry picking.
Caught red- (blue-) handed.
Luckily they had planks down in some of the more marshy areas.
We kept noticing these funny mounds here and there; later we realized that they are enormous anthills made from pine needles!
The DNT (touring association) marks and maintains the trails for hiking, biking, and skiing.
One of the many small lakes along the way.
Approaching our first DNT hytte (hut), Tryvannstua. Notice the sod roof.
The inside is very cozy...
...but we were just passing through, so we had our ice cream al fresco.
After passing signs promising that we had 3, then 2.5, then 3 again, then 2, then 2 some more, then 4(!) kilometers to go, we finally arrived at Koberhaughyyta.
Kobberhaugtjernet, the lake adjacent to the hut.
Adina and Peter, the people adjacent to the lake.
Tucking in for some much-needed sustenance.
Sunset taking shape over the lake.
Pretty.
Adina, with headlamp blazing, inflating the sleeping pad inside the tent.
The next morning was just as clear as night before, and mist hovered on the lake's surface.
Our lakeside tent peaking out of the woods.
The far shore.
The water was perfectly still and the shore beyond the boat was entirely covered in low-lying blueberry bushes (as was the whole forest).
Enjoying the chilly morning.
Birch trees peaking through the mist.
The sun clearing the tops of the trees in the east.
Pretty.
Reeds and ripples.
Some interesting bark.

Adina taking a moment for reflection. Get it?
Clear on this side, but we were surrounded on the other three sides by blueberry bushes, some of which snuck under our rain fly.
The beginning of the day's hike.
Again, we had some plank-walking to do. Sometimes the planks themselves were buried in the mud.
